The Bahnstrecke in the mittleren Ruhr-Kreis (Hattingen – Herbede – Wengern-Ost – Hagen Hbf) was built in 1874 and was originally intended for passenger and freight transport. In 1971, it was closed for passenger traffic and in 1979, it was reactivated for freight only. Since then, it has been used primarily for the transport of steel. In the meantime, passenger traffic has been increasing. The reactivation of the route was made possible due to the financial and economic contribution from the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis.Rechtsanwalt Hattingen
